Here are a few thoughts on strategies for my LTK in case they are helpful!!!
Organization & Curation
I use collections to highlight my most important content, in addition to pinning 3 strategic posts. For collections, I add all of my posts from social to my first collection: IG+TikTok, so it is easy to find what you saw on social media when you come to my LTK Shop. This is my most utilized collection that is at the top of my shop.
Brands with High Commission
I focus on my analytics to see what my audience is shopping the most because this tells me what they are wanting the most. For example, my audience prefers to shop Nordstrom and Amazon more than other retailers. I have other retailers that also convert that I rank in order of significance, but this is very helpful for me when I’m choosing to create content and what retailers to link to. With LTK, I appreciate that we are not limited to linking only to Amazon or only Walmart, etc. I think it’s important to make sure we diversify retailers and not put all of our eggs in one basket with one retailer.
When linking items that are featured in a post, I will link the hero item(s) along with other items that are not necessarily featured in the video, but have been showing up as recent best sellers according to my analytics.
For high converting retailers that have their own affiliate programs like Amazon, I post all my posts on both LTK and their platform. For example, all of my Amazon posts/products on my LTK are also posted on my Amazon storefront.
Tagging Products
You can tag up to 30 products on one post, so I personally use all 30 link slots. This is super important real estate because we already have a consumer’s attention and we can offer products that might also appeal to them and provide additional value that could also drive more sales.
Best Days & Times to Post
We post every day in LTK. This includes new content if we have it, but also strategic reposts of content that is converting or is back in stock, on sale, etc. We usually see the most clicks on Saturdays and Sundays and the most earnings on Mondays.
Videos for Optimal Discoverability
I post a variety of static images (screengrabs, photos, collages) and video in my LTK. LTK has built more discoverability for video content throughout the app, so you can experiment with your video views.
Location
Understanding where your audience is shopping from is helpful. Not all international sales will convert inside of LTK even if people are clicking on your links, so it might be strategic for you to set up international capabilities through platforms that offer it such as Amazon. I opt into sharing my general city on my LTK posts to help cater to my local community.
