My goal is to simplify the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. It can be overwhelming, so I’m sharing my top 10 need-to-know-it tips. Let’s streamline the process so you maximize your sales, time and fun!
Use this guide as a check list and you’ll be good to go!!
1. Mark Your Calendar
–July 12 THIS IS YOUR DAY!!! Early access begins!! Shop as early as 12am!! You might not believe it, but sale items WILL sell out. Plan to shop as soon as you can. This is the ONLY day you will have the option for all sizes, colors, etc. Grab your top picks before others do!!
-July 12-19 Early Access-July 20 Sale opens to the public! If you don’t have the Nordstrom card, this is your time to shop what’s left!! Shop as early as you can this day to get it before the masses!!!!
-July 20- August 5 Sale is open to everyone!-August 5 LAST DAY of the sale!! Do a final sweep through the sale to score on last minutes steals!
2. Get The Nordstrom Card
You need the card, literally. IT’S TOTALLY WORTH IT. Even if the sale is the only time you use it!!:) When shopping the sale online, Nordstrom will ask for your card info at checkout. If it’s not a Nordstrom card, it will deny your order. Get the card BEFORE July 12th, Friends!!

3. Make A Shopping List
Come prepared. Make a list of items you want. Once the sale is live, go to Nordstrom.com and use the menu to shop by your desired categories. There is a lot to sift through, so I highly recommend using the filters to speed up your search process. You will be able to narrow by price, size, brand, etc. Shop your list first to secure the sales you want and then you can spend time browsing the rest!

4. Buy It, Even If It’s Not Your Size!
Inventory goes in and out as people buy and then return. Plus, if you buy it at the sale price, you can always exchange it later after the sale, when things go back up to full price…yet still have the sale price honored!! There’s a small chance some items get restocked after the sale!
5. Buy Now, Return Later
The famous Nordstrom Sale mantra…because it’s true and will benefit you! I remember the first Nordstrom Anniversary sale I shopped. There was a Tory Burch bag I wanted, but wanted to “sleep on it”. I decided to get it the next day…and it already sold out!!! I was so surprised!!! Shopping tip: Buy it!!!!! You can think about whether or not it’s a keeper while you have it. I don’t want you to miss out like I did!
6. Buy Multiple Sizes
Not sure how something will fit? Buy it a couple sizes! Once you have the items, try them on and return the size that doesn’t fit. You want to avoid needing an alternative size, only to find it sold out.
7. Avoid The Crowds With Curbside Pick-up!
How do I shop? I shop online 99.9% of the time…and select same day curb side pick up for all items in stock at my local Nordstrom!! It’s the only way I prefer to shop! Especially with kiddos!!! If you haven’t tried this service yet, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the perfect time do so!! Let’s say you shop the sale right when it “opens” at midnight online…then you’ll get an email that same day notifying you that your order is ready for pick up! Often as soon as 2 hours after shopping! No need to find parking, wait in line for check out, load, unload kids, etc! Simply pull up to their designated curbside station, give them a call to let them know you’re there, then they’ll walk the order right out to you!! It’s a GAME CHANGER!!!:)
No time even for pick up? They have same day delivery for in-stock items for around $15!!!
Other shipping options available!!! You can choose among other expedited shipping; however, standard shipping and returns are always FREE.
8. Follow Me On Instagram + LIKETOKNOW.IT App
I will be posting multiple times EVERYDAY of the sale to inform you of popular items, fit, restock alert, etc! Woohoo! I will be sharing try-on sessions on my Instastories so you can see items better. Everything I post will have direct links, so you don’t need to browse through the sale!
I stay up til midnight, comb through the entire sale, select the items predicted to sell the fastest based on past sales trends, and then post them all with direct links!
