Hi Friends!! I’m thrilled to have teamed up with Nordstrom to share 5 fashion finds I am excited about for fall! Not sure about you…but when I think of fall, the first things that pop into mind are: pumpkins, scarves, and plaid. Although I adore those cozy things, I like to add fashion pieces that are a little outside the box when it comes to my closet! More specifically, I’m talking about how I pieced together this look! Nordstrom is my absolute fashion go-to, so I couldn’t be more excited to share this with you all!! If you don’t shop there already, for sure check them out! You’ll love their variety in style, brands and price points! High quality too!! It’s like my home away from home- I’m always there hehe!

BOOTS: These quality metal trimmed heel moto boots are the hero of practical here!! They have a side zipper, but I can slip them on and off without needing to hassle with the zipper or buckles. I LIKE that. Especially when I’m trying to rush out the house (as I usually do getting kids to school!) and speaking of kids, flats are the most practical kind of shoe for me to be in when chasing after them! Kids or not, flats are just the easiest. Finding these boots has been one of my best fall finds! I’m styling them here with my skirt, but these are totally easy and versatile to rock with leggings and a tunic or or even your favorite pair of skinny jeans.

LEG WARMERS: Confession. Although I am a child of the 80s, I’ve only now begun to explore my love for leg warmers. Why did I wait so long?? I’m starting a collection!! I have these scrunched down in the shaft of my boot, but they pull all the way up to over my knees. This fall, over the knee socks are THE perfect way to layer not only with boots, but also with leggings! Such a simple fashion add with a big return on making me feel a lot cuter than I really am ha! I’ll take it!

WRAP TOP: The crop top style, feminine wrap, blush hue, puffy sleeves with detailed ties…oooooh, this fashion piece elevates the typical long sleeve to the next level!! Perfect for layering with a lace bandeau and fun fall scarves. Pair it with any skirt or jeans and this top will make you feel sassy now while temps are still warm or later when it’s time to start bundling up more!

SKIRT: I will probably still love my mini skirts even well into my 60s and beyond! My hubby might not view them the same on me, but that’s beside the point hehe! They’re so versatile! Ideal for summer and a stellar transitional piece into fall since they can absolutely be layered with leggings, tights, leg warmers, over the knee boots or socks, you name it!!! This high waisted denim skirt has been such a staple in my closet. It’s perfectly distressed and compliments pretty much any top I wear it with…including outerwear like cozy cardigans and more!

CROSSBODY CLUTCH: A girl’s best friend. I know they say diamonds are…I don’t disagree! But I’m thinking the more the merrier here!! A clutch is not only a statement piece that can pull a whole look together, but it’s also an essential to keep the phone, credit cards, (plus Thomas the train and princess Belle toys) easily on hand! This particular clutch is a crossbody- SO important for me since I don’t have enough hands! It’s hard enough managing the kiddos! I need something to sling over my shoulder and then go! I’m loving this color for fall and its minimal style! Goes well with a variety of outfits!!

Practical:
Why practical? Because if it’s not, I won’t wear it. I need fashion pieces that function easy, stay looking good throughout the day, and are comfortable. I can’t tell you how many times I bought something because I liked the idea of it…but then it failed to perform in “real life”. My fashion shopping tactics have been refined since then- which saves me time and money!

Fun:
I’m very grateful for my traditional fall fashion pieces! But I also like to supplement my favorite skinny jeans and sweaters with more playful pieces. I find that when I dress a certain way, I often feel more that way.

Flirty:
Despite the wonderful fact that “mom” jeans have somehow marvelously become “sexy” I still think certain fashion pieces are a timeless type of flirty, regardless of what trends say…and regardless of what season we’re in!
